Now set for November 19, 2019

Vengeance will have to wait. Just a bit, though.

Developer Ys Net and publisher Deep Silver have announced a slight delay to Shenmue III. Originally set to release on August 27, it’ll now launch on November 19. That’s a setback of just under three months.

In a public post on Kickstarter, director Yu Suzuki and Deep Silver jointly said “Whilst almost ready, the game simply needs a little more refinement before being truly finished. We feel that the extra time we have will help us deliver the true Shenmue experience players around the world deserve! We thank you for your patience and understanding.”

Just like that, Shenmue III has been (fork)lifted from summer and dropped off in the late fall.
