Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse sheds Nintendo exclusivity for Steam

Surprise! WayForward is bringing Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse to Steam on April 24, 2015.

Having failed to nab the well-received game twice now — first on 3DS, and then again on Wii U — perhaps Steam will make all the difference. Chris awarded Pirate’s Curse a 7.5 out of 10, noting that despite taking a few steps back from Shantae: Risky’s Revenge, it’s “still a great action romp that any 2D fan can get behind.”

The PC port is priced at $19.99 and packs in gamepad support as well as the usual Steam trimmings like trading cards and emoticons. Flip those trinkets on the marketplace and think of them as a discount.
