Shadow of the Colossus and ICO for PS3 dated in Japan

I thought it would never happen. Hell, it still hasn’t really happened for us. At least Japan has a solid release date for the PS3 remakes of the Team ICO PS2 classics, Shadow of the Colossus and ICO. It all goes down on September 22nd. That’s my birthday! It’s also the week of Tokyo Game Show. That’s going to be a nice week for me.

Each title is priced at a nice and low 3,980 yen, and will be sold separately in Japan. Sony will also be offering a special boxset of both games for Japan. The 6,980 set includes both titles, a special box, a special 100 page booklet from magazine BRUTUS, and dynamic custom PS3 themes for both titles, says Andriasang.

The promo video for these releases (above) pumps me up. It’s going to be great to see two of my favorite games ever in glorious 1080p and hear it in full 7.1 surround. I’m so excited. Almost as excited as I am about The Last Guardian. No word on that one yet, though.
