Shadow of Mordor looks good but is it Lord of the Rings?

No hobbits here, sir

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor has gotten a lot of people excited because of its seemingly great combat and interesting reputation system but is it me, or does it just look like a generic dark fantasy game? I’ll be honest, my Middle-earth knowledge is lacking but there’s nothing very “Lord of the Rings”-y about this trailer.

Still proof is in the pudding as they say and if Shadow of Mordor is a fun game, then I’ll be giving it a go, Hobbits or not, on October 3.
