Even if you’ve written 457 angry e-mails to Capcom, filling its ear with your fury over the impending release of Super Street Fighter IV, you’ll still get a bonus for purchasing the original game. In a recent conversation with Gamasutra, Capcom’s VP of strategic planning and business development, Christian Svennson, revealed that the studio plans to give some stuff away to purchasers of the original.

” … And we haven’t announced it, but for those who have purchased and played Street Fighter IV on the system that they play this on, there will be a nifty little special set of things that those people will have the option of enjoying that others won’t,” Svennson said.

Before the reveal, Svennson told Gamasutra that a title update or a Platinum reboot of Street Fighter IV with the added Super Street Fighter IV content wouldn’t have cut it: hardware publishers would have given the game a new title ID, meaning the user based would have been scattered regardless. Nyah nyah.
