I bet a lot of you don’t live in San Francisco with its dumb most-expensive-US-city-ness and often tiny housing situations. Maybe you have the recommended six to eight foot cavern to fill between you and the original Kinect. For those of us with smaller, more concentrated voids of emptiness, the Xbox One Kinect promised to be better. Promised us we would not have to move couches or take sledgehammers to our living room walls.

Neogaf user kazebyaka stumbled on an Xbox One installation manual that suggests a recommended minimum distance of 4.5 feet between the One’s camera and flailing individuals playing Dance Central (and other games, maybe).
