Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is a weird one. From Software has built up their Dark Souls cachet so much that people are basically expecting more Souls out of them when it comes to releasing anything action related. Me? I’ve secretly been waiting for more Tenchu follow-ups in the same vein as Shinobido and Twin Souls. My expectations are in check.

This new trailer from TGS also does a great job of assuaging any fears I have. It’s only a couple of minutes long but it has quite a few cuts, showcasing various in-game locales and most notably: the emphasis on vertical traversal and combat. We see our hero gleefully zipping around, killing people on rafters, and even wall-jumping. Yes! There’s both an English and Japanese version below.

That part in the header where he’s walking over an exposed rooftop? I’m getting some real Tenchu vibes. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is out on March 22, 2019, on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
