Not content with taking on Mario in upcoming Nintendo Switch title Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, Sonic the Hedgehog is getting a second Olympics Games title, this time on mobile devices.

Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will see the blur blue take on a whole range of tack & field events, as demonstrated in the new trailer below. Badminton, diving, fencing, rock-climbing and more can be played with standard rules or in wacky “gimmick-filled” modes, adding springboards, rings and obstacles.

Sonic isn’t coming alone, as other characters such as Tails, Knuckles, Dr. Robotnik, Amy Rose Shadow and Rouge are among those competing for Olympic gold. In between events, players can travel around digital Tokyo and see the sights. Compete on global leaderboards to become the best of the best, and earn your place on top of the podium.

Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 launches in spring 2020 for iOS and Android devices.
