This weekend at Sega Fes, in Akihabara, Tokyo, the developer/publisher announced a forthcoming entry in the Sakura Wars series, Shin Sakura Taisen.

And that’s pretty much all you’re getting, for now. Sega weren’t forthcoming on platforms, release date, territories or any other details. We do know that the game will be a “completely new” entry and will be set one year after the events of Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love, which appeared on the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Wii.

Shin Sakura Taisen is currently in development at Sega.
