Sega snaps up Three Rings Design, the studio behind Puzzle Pirates and Spiral Knights. Puzzle Pirates was a fun MMO and Spiral Knights won a Game Developers Choice Online Award for Best Online Game Design.
Sega says that this acquisition is part of their move into the digital space. Three Rings Design joins Sega subsidiaries The Creative Assembly and Sports Interactive.
For now, the focus will be to continue to support Spiral Knights. They’ll also continue work on the MMO based on TV series Doctor Who.
