Silent Hill 8 co-writer Tom Waltz is a busy man. Not only is he working on Konami’s upcoming horror title, but he’s also trying his hand at writing a comic book tie in, he’s told FEARnet.

The comic will follow 1800s criminal Jebediah Foster, who meets a kind-hearted widow that offers to help change his ways. Part of his rehabilitation is moving to Silent Hill, which is their first mistake — Foster is forced to come face-to-face with his past, which probably involves them coming to life in the form of horrifying monsters. The book will hit this October in four parts, and Waltz says the book will (in some way) tie in with a character from the upcoming game.

Silent Hill 8
, the game’s working title, is out next year.
