Scraps

Do you guys watch Heroes? I was concerned about the show after the way the last season went but it looks like they’re getting back on the horse. Hopefully, they can keep things intriguing without bogging it down with too much complexity. Haven’t been a lot of new characters yet, so that’s a good sign.

Also, I caught an episode of House the other day because Felicia Day was guest starring. Everyone keeps talking about the show and I suppose I can see why, although I don’t think it’ll become part of a weekly regimen for me or anything.

Have some stories nobody else wanted to write.

  • The upcoming beta for Call of Duty: World at War won’t be available for PS3 users. Activision says it’ll be PC and 360 only. Sorry guys. [PlaystationUniverse]
  • Google wants its new Lively service to become a platform for launching online games. I’m incredibly surprised by this news. No, really. [GamesIndustry]
  • The ESA recently announced that they were sending out $1 million in grants to various organizations. Curiously, one of them is the National Institute for Media and the Family, notable for their harsh criticism of the gaming industry. [GamePolitics
  • A new survey shows that 90% of ‘tweens and teens want games this holiday season. I really need to get a job as a researcher. [Gamasutra]
