Say goodbye to Free Radical and hello to Crytek UK

Recommended Videos

Following Tuesday’s news of TimeSplitters and Haze developer Free Radical being picked up by Crytek, it’s now been confirmed that the studio has seen a name change. From this point forward, we will all have to refer to Free Radical as Crytek UK.

On the acquisition, Crytek boss Avni Yerli had this to say: “The combination of this team, the Crytek network and our CryENGINE technology will be a foundation for outstanding gaming experiences and a magnet for the best talent in the UK.”

So, TimeSplitters 4 with a Crysis-like level of graphics, confirmed? Personally, I’m really going to miss seeing the name “Free Radical.” It had a certain ring to it, y’know what I mean?
