If you’re out of the loop on Samurai Gunn, I’m right there with you. It’s one of those games that’s been playable in-person here and there — enough to the point where the name sounds familiar — which is terrific for folks who frequent independent meetups but that’s about it.
This IGF-nominated PC game about slicing and/or shooting your friends wants to bring back local multiplayer and, thankfully, it’s getting some publisher support for a Steam release this holiday season and PlayStation Vita and PS4 versions next year. Samurai Gunn has been picked up by Maxistentialism, of all companies.
Yep, another promising indie has been locked in for Sony systems — maybe we should start listing out the ones that aren’t. Might save time.
