Sacred 2: Fallen Angel demo available for PC: This game has skeletons in it!

As you might have been able to tell, there are certain games that I take on as pet causes, giving them coverage that may go above and beyond my usual duties. Most of them look like rubbish to normal people, and usually turn out to be rubbish, but there is a method to my madness.

Sacred 2 has joined my list of favored up n’ comers, but it doesn’t look rubbish. It has skeletons in it, and skeletons give you an automatic pass onto my special list.

Skellingtons aside, the game is looking pretty hot and definitely deserves considering if you’re a fan of the western-style RPG, or as we like to call them — Roundeye Roleplayers. All of this pointless rambling brings us to the actual news, which is that a single-player demo of Sacred 2 is now available for download. Here’s what you can try:

  • The mighty Seraphim, one of the six playable and powerful characters featured in the full game.
  • Explore the expansive and beautiful High Elf region, one of twelve regions that will be available in the full game and comprise the more than 22 square miles of Ancaria’s lush environment.
  • Play through several quests in the Light campaign and encounter amazing mythical beasts, while the full game features parallel Light and Shadow campaigns encompassing hundreds of hours of gameplay and over 500 quests.
  • Level up the Seraphim and customize her combat arts to unleash furious attacks on her enemies (the demo will allow leveling to 10, while the full game allows characters to over level 200).

Sound like something you want? Download the demo and tell us what you think. I’ve been after a good Roundeye RPG since Oblivion, so here’s hoping that Sacred 2 can fill the void. Skeletons are always a good sign.
