Recently, the Games for Windows Marketplace has been doing a genius promotion where it marks a well-known game down to $0.99 on a daily basis. This is just cheap enough where you’re left questioning your stance on Games for Windows, and whether or not it’s ultimately worth the trouble.
As of right now, you can get GSC Game World’s S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl for under a dollar. Normally, it’s $19.99 from GFW and Steam. I wholeheartedly recommend the game, especially if you aren’t afraid of getting involved with mods, which it greatly benefits from.
My prior experiences with the service have been less than desirable, to put it nicely. That said, these sales are absolutely what they need to be doing to compete. I have to commend them there.
