All Rune Slayer Races Tier List

I swear, if I roll a Human one more time...

Rune Slayer has recently had a sizable update, and we figured it was high time we did the same with our tier list. If you’re new to the game or want to start a new character, this list may just help you pick the best race. Please enjoy the All Rune Slayer races tier list.

Rune Slayer Races Tier List

A tier list of all the available races in Rune Slayer

You can see our Rune Slayer races tier list right above. As expected, the rarest races are placed higher than the common ones. With that said, please remember: races don’t really matter in this game. Nobody will even kick you out of a party if you aren’t a Dullahan, and it’s not like you’ll be at a huge disadvantage if you ever fight against one. Races are mainly for mid-maxing characters.

List of All Rune Slayer Races Ranked

Below, we’ll cover all the races in Rune Slayer, focusing on their powers, passives, and specialties. Just remember to focus on learning the ropes, leveling up, and having fun. Don’t forget to grab Rune Slayer codes along the way, too.

Seraphim (S Tier)

Seraphim Race from Rune Slayer

Roll chance: 1%
Stats:

  • Passive – Seraphim Lineage: +2.5% Fire Resistance, +1 Luck
  • Active – (2-Wing Variant) Angelic Absence: Speed blitz the unfaithful
  • Active – (4-Wing Variant) Angelic Absence: Cast judgement upon the ground, unleashing an AoE attack
  • Active – (6-Wing Variant) Angelic Absence: Pray to the celestials to restore your focus and mana

Seraphims are currently the rarest race in the game, with only a 1% roll chance. To make things worse, you have three types of Seraphims depending on the number of wings they have. Each wing variant has a different active ability, and if you’re after a specific one, you’re going to have to roll a lot more.

Pretty much every class goes well with Seraphim, but if we had to pick our favorite, it would be the Archer (Beast Tamer, obviously), or the Warrior. The passives on a Seraphim don’t really help out much, but the extra Luck is useful for any class.

Dullahan (S Tier)

Roll chance: 2%
Stats:

  • Passive – Grim Reaper: Restores health slightly when killing enemies.
  • Passive – Undead Body: +25% Robustness, +25% Cold Resistance, -20% Holy Resistance.
  • Active – Severed Sight: Pop off your head and use it like a camera.
  • Active – Soul Harvest (Lv. 15 Skill): Lunge forward and sweep with your scythe.

Dullahans are built for sheer endurance and frontline combat. With Grim Reaper restoring health after each kill and Undead Body reducing incoming damage, they’re made to stay in the thick of battle. Perfect for players who want to absorb punishment and keep pushing forward.

They pair best with high-damage melee classes like Warrior or Striker, letting you soak up hits while dishing out steady damage. In Rune Slayer PvP, they’re ideal for outlasting glass-cannon builds and slowly wearing down opponents with relentless pressure. If you want to be a tank that refuses to go down, this race is for you.

Bunny (A Tier)

Roll chance: 4.412%
Stats:

  • Active – Bunny Dash – You dash further.
  • Active – Bunny Jump – +5 Physical, +35 Focus – Hop forward a great distance and deal damage to an opponent
  • Active – Carrot Summoning (Lv. 15 Skill) – Summons a carrot which heals your health, hunger, and mana.

When we saw the Slime was a viable race in Rune Slayer, we knew it was only a matter of time before we got the Bunny race. As you might expect, the Bunny race jumps higher, is more agile, and can summon a carrot for healing.

Because of their agility, Bunnies are most effective as either Strikers or Warriors. While playing those classes, movement becomes pretty important.

Slime (A Tier)

Roll chance: 6%
Stats:

  • Passive – Slime Body: Reduces Magic and Fire Resistance, but increases Immunity by 25%.
  • Passive – Viscous Remains: Chance to release a blob of slime when struck.
  • Active – Viscous Shock (10 Magic Requirement): Sacrifice HP to unleash a powerful slime shockwave.

Slimes specialize in reactive defense and unpredictability. Slime Body can nullify incoming attacks, and Viscous Remains punishes attackers with blobs that slow and damage nearby enemies. They thrive in chaotic fights where randomness and adaptability shine.

This race pairs well with Magician builds, offering a strong defense while focusing on ranged magic damage. A Thief-Slime hybrid turns into an evasive threat that punishes aggression. Slimes are perfect if you prefer a defensive playstyle that frustrates and counters enemy strategies.

Ailuran (A Tier)

Roll chance: 10%
Stats:

  • Passive – Fleetfoot: +8% Speed boost.
  • Passive – Beastly Coat: +10% Fire Resistance, +25% Heat & Cold Resistance.
  • Passive – Prowler: +25% Jump Height, +15% Fall Damage Reduction.

Ailurans are built for speed and mobility. Fleetfoot enhances your movement and jump height, while Beastly Coat reduces fire damage. Their speed makes them perfect for players who thrive on fast-paced, hit-and-run tactics.

Paired with Thief or Archer classes, Ailurans excel in quick strikes and evasive maneuvers. Their agility also makes exploration easier, opening up routes others can’t reach. If you want to outmaneuver opponents and control the flow of combat, Ailurans deliver.

And if you’re wondering—no, I didn’t place them this high up just because of the cat ears.

Chiroptran (A Tier)

Roll chance: 7.143%
Stats:

  • Passive – Chiroptran Lineage: -5 Wind Resistance, +5% Holy Attack, -5% Holy Resistance
  • Active – Chiroptran Roar: Enter a Vampiric state. Press again to bite your target to do 5% damage to their health (Holy Damage).

Chiroptran are pretty useful because of their active ability. They can turn into a Vampire and then damage anyone for 5% of their maximum health, including bosses.

Because of their +5% Holy Attack, Chiroptran are best as Priests or Magicians. Dish out extra Holy damage, and when a mob is low on its HP, finish it with a bite.

Amphibu (B Tier)

Roll chance: 10.743%
Stats:

  • Passive – Amphibu Lineage: +35 Swim Boost
  • Passive – Echolocation: The Amphibu will randomly croak and highlight nearby mobs along with their health.

Amphibu may seem useless based on their description but their other passive really comes in handy. Let’s face it, nobody cares about the +35 Swim Boost speed but when an Amphibu croaks (not metaphorically), it gives something no other race has (yet!).

Because of their ability to reveal health or almost any mob, and Amphibu is best as an Archer (Beast Tamer, obviously), as you’ll get to know exactly how much longer you need to damage a mob before it… croaks (this one is metaphorical).

Ghoul (B Tier)

Roll chance: 14.25%
Stats:

  • Passive – Ghoul Lineage: +5% Magic Attack
  • Active – Ghoulish Gall: Dissapear and reappear while attacking an unsuspecting opponent.

Ghouls are… fine. We were expecting a lot from them but what we got is… just fine. They have a very decent +5% Magic Attack boost, and their Ghoulish Gall can be useful on special occasions.

Because of the Magic Attack boost, Ghouls are best as Magicians and Priests. Enjoy the extra damage and disappear when you need to.

Half Golem (B Tier)

Roll chance: 6%
Stats:

  • Passive – Stone Body: -5% Max Speed, +5% Damage Reduction, +10 Max Weight, +25% Robustness.

Half-Golems balance raw power with resilience. Instead of multiple powers, they rely on Stone Body, which gives them a damage reduction with speed and weight debuffs. If their evolutions turn out to be great, I’ll gladly move them up this Rune Slayer races tier list.

They work well with hybrid builds like Striker or Paladin, mixing offensive strength with solid durability. In PvP, Half-Golems are great for players who want to trade blows and capitalize on their survivability while dishing out serious damage.

Elf (B Tier)

Roll chance: 25.3%
Stats:

  • Passive – Strider: +3% Speed, +10% Cooldown Reduction, +10% Stealth.
  • Passive – Mana Affinity: +10% Mana.
  • Passive – Focus Affinity: +5% Focus.
  • Active – Duskwalk (Lv. 15 Skill): Become invisible for a duration.

Speaking of ears, those with pointy ones–elves are masters of magic and strategic combat. Mana Affinity boosts mana reserves, Strider reduces cooldown times, and Duskwalk allows for temporary invisibility, perfect for repositioning or ambushes.

They shine with Magician builds, offering sustained magical offense and tactical advantages. Archer-Elf hybrids use stealth and range to deadly effect. Elves are built for players who enjoy precision, control, and dominating from a distance with spells or arrows.

Human (B Tier)

Roll chance: 25.3%
Stats:

  • Passive – Tenacity: When below 50% HP, gain increased damage and damage reduction.
  • Passive – Ghoul Slayer: Deal more damage to undead enemies.
  • Passive – Hunger Efficiency: +1 Focus Efficiency, +2 Mana Efficiency.

Humans are flexible and balanced, with Tenacity providing small boosts to all primary attributes. They don’t specialize in any one area but are effective across all classes.

This race lets you experiment with any playstyle—melee, ranged, or magic. Ideal for players who want versatility without being locked into a specific strategy.

Orc (C Tier)

Roll chance: 25.3%
Stats:

  • Passive – Battle Hardened: +10% Base Health Regeneration.
  • Passive – Ravenous: +15% Max Hunger.
  • Passive – Ash Walker: +20% Heat Resistance.

Orcs thrive on brute strength and aggression. Their passive ability, Battle Hardened, boosts attack power as their health drops, encouraging an all-or-nothing approach in battle. Ash Walker grants you heat resistance, a bit more than Ailurans.

Best suited for Warrior or Berserker classes, Orcs are okay-ish in melee combat with overwhelming force. In PvP, they’re perfect for players who favor aggressive, high-risk engagements and don’t mind playing with a handicap from the get-go. Sorry, but Orc just isn’t there yet.

How to Choose a Race in Rune Slayer

You don’t choose a race in Rune Slayer; you roll it at random. What if you don’t like what you rolled? In that case, you can purchase a Race Reroll for R$150. I wouldn’t recommend this, especially if you’re waiting for a Slime or Dullahan. So don’t stress over RNG too much, study our Rune Slayer races tier list and learn how to take advantage of every play style.

That concludes our all Rune Slayer races tier list. If I continue bashing Humans like this, I might have to go into witness protection. My safety aside, you should also check out the Rune Slayer Trello and Discord and engage with the community.
