Rune Factory: Frontier trailer has bigass monsters

Recommended Videos

XSEED games sent us this trailer for the next installment in the Harvest Moon spin-off series, Rune Factory. This is the first in the series to be developed for console (the previous titles were released on DS) and it certainly shows. The monsters are way larger than they have been in the past and the visuals look to be pretty decent.

No major revelations regarding gameplay here, as it looks to be much the same as before. Farming and other laid-back activities mixed with combat and monster training is par for the course in Rune Factory. A new website for the game also (vaguely) describes a new mechanic where actions you take affect the ecosystem which, in turn, affects your crops.

My interest is piqued. I had a great time with the first two Rune Factory games, so I’m looking forward to this one also. Anybody else down?
