Rumor: XCOM has undergone ‘big changes’

You might recall “Internet Matlock” Superannuation who used to find all kinds of information about upcoming games through things like trademarks and job posting. He tweeted today about 2K Australia’s studio head no longer working there as of January, and: “FWIW, there’s a rumor that XCOM’s undergone some big changes since it was announced.”

Rumor or not, proper X-COM fans might be happy with this. Despite early positive impressions, folks who spent months with UFO: Enemy Unknown and X-COM: Terror From The Deep in the golden 90s have yet to be convinced. But who knows, maybe it will become more like X-COM and less like “Bioshock with X-Files black goo and some base management.”
