Rumor: Nintendo dropping Wii to $150 in May

Recommended Videos

It’s getting to be that time, folks. The time when Nintendo pushes the Wii’s price tag down again. According to a “trusted source” at Engadget, the company is expected to start selling the system at $150 on May 15.

Such a move would make sense in terms of declining sales. And — more relevant to us — in terms of games. Notice how there aren’t a whole lot of high-profile releases on the way? You always hear jokes about the Wii sitting there as a dust collector, but now it’s becoming kind of depressing.

Can we get that rumored next console yet?
