Damn, talk about a budget! If this is true, I’d love to see the final number on the budget for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
When you want to talk about the big-time composers in movies, Hans Zimmer’s name is sure to come up. His music has ruled Hollywood for a long time now. He has hundreds of score credits on the biggest projects, including movies like The Dark Knight, Batman Begins, Pearl Harbor, The Da Vinci Code and many more. He’s won six Oscars, Six Grammys and a ton of others. If you don’t know film music, just know this: Hans Zimmer is the sh*t.
So imagine our surprise when we heard the rumor that Zimmer could be scoring Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The source of this rumor is Zimmer’s agency, where his resume lists Modern Warfare 2 under the games section.
Of course, this is far from confirmation. We’ve hit up our people to get something more official, but we’re expecting a firm “No Comment.”
If this is true, MW2‘s score will likely raise the bar for game music.
