Roblox Mines Pickaxe Tier List and Guide

I’m going to guide you through the best Pickaxes in Roblox Mines by analyzing all three types. These are the regular progression purchasable Pickaxes as well as the craftable and Robux ones. I’ll take a look at both their stats and enchants so check out my Roblox Mines Pickaxe tier list.

All Roblox Mines Pickaxes Ranked

When talking about the best Pickaxe in Mines your best bet is to start with the Diamond Pickaxe by liking/favoriting the game and joining the Gold Rush Games community. Then, move up the Tiers above by grinding and buying the Amethyst Pickaxes from Sally then the cheaper Craftable ones like Lava at Blacksmith. The best late-game ones are Celestite if you get the Passage Key (Legendary) drop and go through the Door/Passage in the middle. Alternatively, once you grind the game out and have plenty of cash and Mythic ores, the craftable ones like Uranium and eventually Dragon are the best Pickaxes in Mines at the Blacksmith. Let’s dive into each Pickaxe separately.

Tip #1: The Lava Pickaxe and above can mine through the Lava Layer – Drills also mine through Lava Layer if you have the Lava Pickaxe or above equipped

Tip #2: Even though Diamond Pickaxe is easy to get you’ll need Sapphire or higher to progress to the Lava Layer.

Best Pickaxes in Mines

Dragon Pickaxe	• Best Pickaxe in Mines currently stat and enchant wise • Has Accuracy (Easier max power hits) and Fortune (Double item chance) enchants • Don’t but it with Robux, just grind and craft it	Craft at Blacksmith • $10,000,000 • 1 Dragon Skull (Secret Drop) • Rainbow Nuke (Mythic Drop) • Crystal Moai Head (Legendary Drop)
Uranium Pickaxe	• Not as powerful as Dragon but better than Void stat wise – The middle child of SSS Tier • Don’t buy any craftable Pickaxe with Robux • Has Accuracy for easier max power hits • Celestite is better but this is cheaper • Void has Fortune which is better than Accuracy but Uranium has better stats	Craft at Blacksmith • $2,500,000 • 1 Crystal Corrupted UFO (Mythic Drop) • 2 Rainbow Giant Uranium (Legendary Drop) • 3 Uranium (Epic Drop)
Void Pickaxe	• The best Pickaxe in Mines that you can get in the earliest stage of grinding possible (Craft it) • Has Fortune for double item chance and Speed for increased movement speed • Has a better enchant than Uranium	Craft at Blacksmith • $500,000 • 1 Nuke (Mythic Drop) • 1 Alien Artifact (Legendary Drop) • 2 Uranium (Epic Drop)

S-Tier Mines Pickaxes

Pickaxe	Ranking Reason	How to Get
Celestite Pickaxe	• The best Pickaxe you can get once you get the Passage Key and open the door • Expensive but the stats compete with Uranium • Will take a lot of grinding to buy it and to even get the Passage Key Legendary drop if you’re unlucky	• Find Passage Key as a random Legendary drop and unlock and go through the big Door • Buy for $5,000,000
Obsidian Pickaxe	• Right behind Celestite in terms of stats and twice as cheaper • One of the best mid-game Pickaxes in the game • Same deal as Celestite in terms of the Passage Key	• Find Passage Key as a random Legendary drop and unlock and go through the big Door • Buy for $2,500,000
Galaxy Pickaxe	• The best option at all stages of the game if you want to spend Robux • Not the best in the game but the easiest to get if you don’t mind paying 400 Robux	• Buy for 400 Robux in front of Blacksmith and Shady Sam
Ice Pickaxe	• Excellent stats and you can technically get it without the Passage Key • Competes pretty well with all S-Tiers beyond the Door/Passage • Fortune (Chance for double items) is the best enchant • Don’t buy it with Robux, it’s not worth it	Craft at Blacksmith • $200,000 • 1 Giant Rainbow Crystal (Legendary Drop) • 1 Ancient Relic (Legendary Drop) • 2 Giant Fossil Fin (Legendary Drop)
Citrine	• A decent upgrade to the Lava and Quartz and competes stat-wise with the lower S-Tier • I would go for Ice though since it has Fortune	• Find Passage Key as a random Legendary drop and unlock and go through the big Door • Buy for $1,000,000

A-Tier Mines Pickaxes

Lava Pickaxe	• The best mid-game Pickaxe in Mines as you’re starting your Grind • Used to progress Lava Rocks • Speed enchant helps you move faster • Don’t buy it with Robux, not worth	Craft at Blacksmith • $100,000 • 2 Lava Rock (Legendary Drop) • 1 Ancient Skull (Epic Drop) • 2 Uranium (Epic Drop)
Quartz Pickaxe	• This can mine Lava but I would just stick with Lava Pickaxe for now • Decent stats but not much of an improvement over Lava Pickaxe	• Find Passage Key as a random Legendary drop and unlock and go through the big Door • Buy for $500,000
Corrupted Pickaxe	• If you want to skip most layers by paying Robux and get a decent Pickaxe this is for you but I wouldn’t recommend it • There are better Pickaxes that you can craft by grinding for free • If you want to spend money after all, the Galaxy Pickaxe is better	• Buy at Store or Merchant Mark in the main hub for 300 Robux or as part of the Corrupted Set for 500 with the Corrupted Radar

B-Tier Mines Pickaxes

Pickaxe	Ranking Reason	How to Get
Diamond Pickaxe	• Best beginner Pickaxe in the game because it’s really easy to get • Offers good stats to get you started • You’ll have to switch to Sapphire or higher for the lower layers • Even though it’s higher than Amethyst due to its value, Amethyst and Sapphire are mandatory for progression	• Like and favorite Mines and join their Roblox community group
Amethyst	• The best cost-to-value Pickaxe you can get from Sally • You can skip it if you have Sapphire and want to go straight for something like Lava but it’s a good choice either way	• Buy from Sally in the Mines
Sapphire	• I wouldn’t bother with Ruby and Emerald since this is the earliest Pickaxe you can get to mine to the next layer • Decent stats that will last until you get Amethyst or Lava Pickaxe	• Buy from Sally in the Mines

C-Tier Mines Pickaxes

Pickaxe	Ranking Reason	How to Get
Ruby Pickaxe	• Even though Ruby is better than Sapphire, Diamond, Emerald and the starting Pickaxes I would skip it for Amethyst or Lava • Can mine through the deeper layers but not Lava	• Buy from Sally in the Mines
Emerald	• Skip this one since you’ll have Diamond until you get Sapphire to mine through the deeper layers • Can’t mine through the deeper layers	• Buy from Sally in the Mines

D-Tier Mines Pickaxes

These are just your starting Pickaxes that you can buy at the starting town Shop and they’re the worst in the game. I would skip them all since the Diamond Pickaxe you get for joining the Roblox Mines group is better. Only get them if you want to collect all Pickaxes.
