European gamers who have eagerly awaited their chance to play controversial horror/comedy game Deadly Premonition will finally be able to lay hands on the title this Fall, courtesy of Rising Star games. Fans in the PAL territories only have a short wait until they too can experience the joys of Agent Francis York Morgan. Are you excited, Zach?
"To date Deadly Premonition has split reviewers down the middle," states Rising Star. "Destructoid awarded it 10/10, saying: 'Judged as a piece of entertainment, as a game that consistently surprises and amazes and leaves jaws hanging, I have no choice but to say that Deadly Premonition goes above and beyond.'
"At the other end of the scale, IGN named it "terrible", awarding it just 2/10. It said: 'Awful in nearly every way… Terrible controls. Terrible pacing. Terrible sound effects. Terrible visuals.' However, gamers have been making up their own minds - on Metacritic the average user rating is 8.4/10.'
I think it's amazing that a publisher would use a 2/10 review in order to hype an upcoming game, but Deadly Premonition is just so bizarre that it completely works. We did indeed give the game a 10/10, which is perhaps the most confident rating I've ever given a game.
Seriously, this masterpiece of absurdity needs to be checked out, and when it'll only cost UK gamers a paltry £24.99, there's no excuse not to play it!
