This past year hasn’t been so good for Atari. In late 2007, they stopped game production after a loss of $11.9 million in one quarter. Ouch. Even more bad press came when there was some financial fumbling in the books. Soon after, Atari was purchased by Infogrames, but it seems that they managed to post a profit just before that.

Infogrames said that Atari managed to squeeze out $3.5 million in profit, which hurts a lot less than that $11 million lost the year before. Atari’s net revenue was $40.3 million, way better than 2007’s $10.4 million.

Here’s the kicker: This boost in profits comes from the Dragon Ball Z and Alone in the Dark games. What do you think about that?
