Codemasters has announced today that they’ve tapped Rhianna Pratchett to write the scripts for their upcoming new titles in the Overlord series. This includes Overlord II, Overlord Dark Legend for the Wii, and Overlord Minions for the Nintendo DS.
Pratchett also worked on the original Overlord, released last year. She is also becoming quite the hot commodity in the videogames industry; she’s also responsible for the scriptwriting for Mirror’s Edge and Firefly Studios’ upcoming Dungeon Hero.
More and more we’re receiving announcements of scriptwriters and other talent for videogames, which is a pretty interesting trend. What do you guys think — will (or does) having your favorite writer or composer involved in a project sway you one way or another?
