Everyone is quite worked up over Kojima Production’s teaser Web site. Theories of what it could be are flying, with everything from a Metal Gear game on the Xbox 360 to a game starring Raiden, even a new Boktai or Snatcher title.
Our gut tells us it’s probably Metal Gear related. Now a Japanese 7-11 product listing for next week’s issue of Famitsu PSP + PS3 could hold the answer. The listing, when translated, clearly states that the contents of this issue will contain something about a “New Metal Gear.”
One could put two and two together and assume that this is referring to Kojima Production’s announcement — we may be seeing a new Metal Gear on the PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Portable very soon.
Of course, the details of what’s in the magazine remain to be seen. It could be a simple “what if” discussion about a new Metal Gear, although the timing of the magazine hitting newsstands, the teaser, and E3 are pretty strong indicators.
