Resident Evil 4, 5, 6 re-releases ship 1.5 million units

Even 6 is worth getting for Mercs

Capcom reports that the PS4 and Xbox One re-releases of Resident Evil 4, 5, and 6 have collectively shipped 1.5 million units worldwide.

That’s “shipped,” not “sold,” but still an impressive number given that these are basically just re-packaged editions with the DLC included — and that 4 has been re-released already more times that anyone can keep track of. This adds to Capcom’s near 70 million total sold for the entire series, which makes it their best-performing franchise to date. Yes, it’s sold more than Monster Hunter.

I know it’s en vogue to dump on Resident Evil 6, which is pretty justifiable given that its campaigns collectively are about 30 hours too long, but it had a damn good Mercenaries mode that’s worth checking out on the cheap.
