Reminder: Pid has an Easy Mode update on Steam

Alternate mode redesigns some frustrations

Recommended Videos

Have you played Pid yet? A lot of people have, and one of their chief complaints was the difficulty. Developer Might and Delight was listening, as they have a free Easy Mode update available on Steam — just download the latest patch, and you’re good to go. The update actually launched earlier this month, but if you recently picked the game up during the Steam holiday sale, you probably weren’t aware of it yet.

This isn’t an ancillary addition, as Might and Delight explains that the new Easy Mode features completely redesigned levels, and simplifies boss fights. Like most contemporary titles, you can change the setting mid-game. The update also re-works some “difficulty spikes” in the game’s Normal setting, so if you want to play the original game sans-patch, don’t update!

Although it may be too little too late, this is probably good news for everyone who picked it up during Steam’s sale and gave it a pass. Console patches are coming at a later date.
