Relic details paid downloadable gear for The Last Stand

Relic gameplay designer Clint Tasker has a beefy post about some upcoming premium wargear for Dawn of War II‘s The Last Sand, which is also available as a standalone game.

The focus here appears to be introducing new gear that addresses each of the heroes’ current weaknesses. For those unfamiliar, The Last Stand allows you to run with different character builds, each determined by what gear you have equipped. So yes, this is promising news.

Logistics don’t seem to be finalized yet; no word on pricing or a release date. I feel like I’m always saying this, but seriously, The Last Stand is incredibly fun. Not enough of you have played it yet, and you ought to.
