Reading Rainbow wants to fly to consoles like PlayStation and Xbox

Take a look, it’s on a console

Confession time: Ever since the Reading Rainbow Kickstarter was announced earlier this week, we’ve been looking for a reason to write about it. It’s a formative relic of our youths, how could we not want to discuss it? With the inclusion of a new stretch goal, that opportunity arises.

After being quickly funded for the initial $1M, Reading Rainbow’s now aiming for $5M. If this becomes a reality (it’s currently closing in on $3M), Reading Rainbow will be available on more platforms and in more classrooms. Gaming consoles (specifically PlayStation and Xbox) are one of these platforms that’s being targeted.

This Kickstarter just keeps finding ways to grow. It’s lofty to think it can go twice as high, but frankly, it can go anywhere — including Sony and Microsoft’s videogame consoles.
