Digital storefront closing doors

Hardware manufacturer Razer, best known for the range of PC gaming mice and keyboard setups, has announced that they are closing their digital software storefront, the Razer Game Store, at the end of the month.

Having opened in April of 2018, the store hasn’t even been trading for a full year, but Razer has decided to pull down the blinds as part of their “company realignment” plans. “It has been a privilege for us to recommend and deliver great digital game deals to you,” reads the official announcement. “Thank you for the support and making all this possible… We will be investing in other ways to deliver great content and introduce game promotions through Razer Gold, our virtual credits system.”

Of course, all games purchased to date through Razer’s store will still be available, and all those awaiting pre-orders can take comfort in knowing that those orders will be filled. Anyone holding unclaimed game keys should retrieve and validate them as soon as possible. Discount vouchers will be null and void once the closing date passes.

The Razer Game Store officially closes on February 28.
