Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 exclusive to Nintendo

Recommended Videos

This isn’t the world’s biggest shocker admittedly, since the original Rayman Raving Rabbids is thought of very much as a Wii title, with the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 2 versions mere afterthoughts, but the official line now is that the quirky game’s sequel will be exclusive to Nintendo’s Wii and DS platforms when it arrives. Ubisoft’s Xavier Poix claimed that Raving Rabbids 2 simply “wouldn’t be as interesting without the Wii controls,” thus Nintendo’s white box of waggle is now the exclusive home of the console sequel. As with last time, the DS interpretation will be a different game entirely.

Pretty much makes sense. People don’t buy the other consoles to play endless minigame compilations. That, sadly, is what the Wii has now become known for. Fortunately, Raving Rabbids 2 is shaping up to at least be a rather good minigame compilation, so that’s something. Get your waggle sticks ready for more lapin-focused quirkiness later this year.
