Rapid Blaster Deco coming to Splatoon 2 this weekend

Fabulous-looking shotty on the way

It’s Friday, thus time for a new weapon to hit the arsenal of Nintendo’s team-based shooter, Splatoon 2. This week sees the implementation of a high-fashion variant of the Rapid Blaster, the Rapid Blaster Deco.

Although its look and name conjure up thoughts of an automatic weapon, such as the MP5, the Rapid Blaster actually has more in common with the shotgun class, providing a strong-but-steady rate-of-fire, rather than peppering the opposition with ink. The Rapid Blaster is a variation of the standard Blaster, albeit with further range at the sacrifice of radius and damage.

This Deco variant features a colourful new design, and comes equipped with a Suction Bomb sub and an Inkjet special. As always, the new face-painter will go live in North America this evening, with Japan and Europe to follow early tomorrow.

Splatoon 2 is available now on Nintendo Switch. Have a great weekend, squid-kids!
