Ranko Tsukigime?s Longest Day out now in Japan for PS3

Cool eye patch, girl.

The stunning fifth and final episode of Akira creator Katsuhiro Otomo’s Short Peace anthology made its debut on PlayStation 3 in Japan today. I’m all kinds of jealous right now.

A sidescrolling action game, Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day comes by way of Grasshopper Manufacture and Namco Bandai, boasting a talented collection of developers, including the likes of Suda 51, Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka, Tokyo Jungle director Yohei Kataoka, and Fire Emblem: Awakening illustrator Yusuke Kozaki. Yeah, they’re kind of a big deal.

Still no official word on a localized release, but Namco seems to be entertaining the idea. The publisher’s European division registered a domain for the title last autumn, so at least there’s hope. Now go make some noise about this lovely-looking game and force the company’s hand.
