Remember Rally-X? Or did I just date myself?
It looks like the next in the Namco Generations releases has been uncovered. Siliconera found a European trademark for “Rally-X Rumble,” which was filed last month. Surely this is a revival of the classic maze racer Rally-X, which was popular in the…*looks around*…1980’s.
Remember? You had to race around a maze looking for flags while listening to awesome music. You had to dodge other racecars as they were out to crash directly into you. When you collided, a “bang” animation would pop up. It was like Pac Man in a car. Kind of.
This wouldn’t have been my first pick of games to bring back. Maybe they’ll do something cool with it, though.
