Rainbow Moon devs to return in 2014 with Rainbow Skies

Another RPG for consoles and handhelds

After partnering on strategy role-playing game Rainbow Moon, developer SideQuest Studios and publisher eastasiasoft are back together for another RPG, Rainbow Skies. The name is certainly familiar, and the similarities don’t end there — this is being built on Rainbow Moon‘s foundation.

However, it is a “completely new game that is set in a new world with new characters and a new story,” according to SideQuest CEO Marcus Pukropski. So much new! “A lot of feedback has been taken into consideration and we are confident that Rainbow Skies will offer an even deeper and more versatile gameplay experience, while staying absolutely true to its roots.”

With a late 2014 release on the schedule for unspecified consoles and handhelds, there’s understandably not much to show yet. The developers are promising an improved side-quest system and monsters that can be captured and upgraded for use in your party, as well as “tons” of content. Based on Rainbow Moon, that’s practically a given.
