Ragnarok Odyssey English translation to Hong Kong in July

A couple weeks ago we found out that XSEED would be bringing Ragnarok Odyssey to North America sometime later this year. Considering how well it’s been received in Japan, that’s great news, but that release window…it’s a bit vague for my liking. Luckily, Sony Computer Entertainment Asia has a more specific date penciled into their calendars.

The acclaimed role-player will be making its way to PlayStation Vita in Hong Kong and Singapore on July 12th. Since the version of the game released in those titles features both English and Chinese text Siliconera conjectures that a release on this side of the Pacific mightn’t be far behind.

Unfortunately, if there’s anything that whole Operation Rainfall thing taught us it’s that the existence of a working translation doesn’t always spell an imminent release. However, if that does turn out to be the case, it’s certainly great news for anyone chomping at the bit for something to play on the Vita.
