Racing sim Assetto Corsa pushed to June for PS4, Xbox One

More time for polish

Are you in the mood for a racing game? Not, like, right now, but in general?

I only ever seem to become heavily invested in one or two a year, if that, and then I want no business with the genre. Currently, I’m all Crew-ed out on virtual driving (unless we get another proper, full-fledged Burnout, whether it’s from Criterion or ex-series developers), but I might be back in the mood by the time Assetto Corsa hits PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this summer.

Then again, this game intimidates. Steven tells me he crashed as often as he did in Project CARS, which I assume to be “a scary amount.” (He assures he’s a good driver in real life.) Then there’s Steam user VeRDe who, with 301 hours logged in the PC version, claims “A cat is still alive because of the real world driving reflexes I gained from Assetto Corsa… 10/10.”

After a short delay, the racing sim is now coming to consoles on June 3, 2016 in Europe and June 7, 2016 in North America. The week before E3!
