Quarterbacks, Madden NFL 10 has them

Recommended Videos

Electronic Arts dropped a bunch of Madden NFL 10 screens this morning, all of which you can view in our beautiful gallery. The point of these (there’s always a point) is to illustrate Tiburon’s attention to detail with pre-snap quarterback stances and the new Pro-Tak gang tackling physics thing.

You can’t really appreciate Pro-Tak unless you see it in motion. It’s essentially a dynamic system that accounts for every body in an NFL cluster — the kind where a poor running back is surrounded by up to eight big offensive and defensive bodies on a busted play. The game will gauge the weight and the statistics of all the meat in the standing pile and determine who wins.

The bad thing about images in terms of pre-snap quarterback fun is that you can’t accurately gauge how many times fingers are licked. I’m pretty sure Manning puts his fist in his mouth three times before every play.
