Quake Live gets a new look for the holidays

Recommended Videos

No, Quake Live isn’t out of beta yet, silly; we all know that isn’t happening during our lifetime. What I’m here to talk about today is related to the holidays. Let’s hope you aren’t sick of this stuff, because there’s bound to be more on the way. Much, much more.

As of today, Quake Live will temporarily give players access to two news skins, “Festive Santa” and “Vixen,” plus a remake of the Team Arena map “Distant Screams.” The new stage is called “Silent Night” and as seen here, it’s all decked out with holiday cheer.

These goodies will be offered for the next two weeks, so make sure to make good use of them during that time. Is anyone else disturbed by the female characters? I’m good up until the point where I see their masks. Things get a little awkward at that point.
