PSN down for ‘maintenance’ for third time in four days

Recommended Videos

On the same day Battlefield 3‘s beta goes live, Sony Europe has confirmed that the PlayStation Network is going down for maintenance again. This is the third time in four days that the service is due to be taken offline. However, you might still be able to stay online.

Sony’s said that if you’re already signed in before the scheduled downtime of 5pm BST, then you should be able to stay online. You won’t be able to access the PlayStation Store or account registration/management, but you ought to be able to get your gaming done.

So far only Sony’s Europe wing has announced any downtime.

With the PSN getting so much maintenance and a big reveal teased for October 5, it seems things are mighty suspicious over in the Sony camp. Please don’t let this all be leading to a Home-related announcement.
