Overwatch‘s anniversary event is coming to a close soon, but before that happens you can snag double the amount of experience for playing. The switch for XP was flipped last night, and will run until Monday June 12 at 11:59 PT.

While people are happy enough about the new arenas and costumes, it’s come up that the amount of credits required to get everything in the Anniversary event is astronomically high (roughly 20,000 more credits than the last few). While no one is expected to unlock everything, the issue of currency creeping is valid, and director Jeff Kaplan recently stated that he and his team have taken note of it, and will possibly respond in the future (which they have a track record of doing).

I’m still salty about the first ever event, the Summer Games, which didn’t allow users to buy any items with coins. They subsequently changed that rule, thankfully, but the Summer items remain locked until the event happens again.
