A brand new game, Alien Swarm, has hit Steam for the very tempting price of free. Alien Swarm is an Unreal mod that has seen some Source Engine enhancements, and was developed by members of Valve who were brought up from the community.
In case you haven’t seen anything of it, it’s a top-down shooter which pits players against hordes of icky aliens. Up to four players can work together in co-op mode, there’s a leveling system, and over forty weapons to choose from. Quite a robust little title for the asking price.
