Less than 24 hours after Wuthering Waves officially launched, developer Kuro Game Studio has announced an upcoming patch to fix some of the technical issues currently plaguing players as well as a compensation reward of 10 Lustrous Tides.

It’s been a somewhat rocky start for Wuthering Waves, with players suffering from all sorts of tedious issues including problems downloading and installing, crashes in-game, and even some players who have still not been able to get in and play. Hopefully, these upcoming solutions will fix some of those problems.
As for the compensation…honestly, a free 10 Lustrous Tides is no paltry gift. It amounts to a full 10-pull on the current Beginner’s Choice Convene banner which after 80 pulls gives you a guaranteed Resonator of your choice. You can also use it on the standard default Character Permanent Convene banner that has no added bonuses. Has Genshin Impact ever done this? Recently?
Monetarily it would require 1,600 Astrite—which would require 1,600 Lunite to convert because you know, gacha—that would set you back $29.99 to acquire through the Store. While you can’t directly buy 1,600 Lunite, you can buy 1,980 for $29.99 which would be the cheapest way to get it.
Ironically, in the time it took for me to type this up, you may have already received your free 10 Lustrous Tides. If you don’t see it in your mailbox, try logging out and back in. According to the tweet, the gift should have been sent out to all players who have achieved Union Level 2 or above at 6 pm EST on May 23, 2024. If you haven’t started Wuthering Waves yet, you have until July 2, 2024 at 4 pm EST to reach Union Level 2 and receive the reward.
