While Sony’s PS4 Pro event didn’t detail much about the multimedia capabilities of the new console, a Twitter conversation has dug up some more information. Sony made it a point to emphasize 4K streaming, but it looks like 4K Blu-ray is out.

I don’t see the reason why Sony is forgoing 4K Blu-ray when Microsoft is including it with the Xbox One S. This seems like a wasted opportunity to capitalize on an emerging market, especially since all PS4s will be getting HDR support. Weird.
