Live in the US and own all three systems and already have a Rock Band set for all of them so that when Rock Band 3 lands all you’ll need is the game and the new keyboard? First, you have far too many plastic guitars, but secondly your decision on which system to get the keyboard and game just got a bit easier as Harmonix has revealed that the PS3 will not be getting a keyboard/game bundle unlike the Xbox 360 and the Wii.
You’ll still be able to buy the keyboard and game separately, of course, but due to “the agreement terms for the region” it’s going to cost you ten bucks more because Harmonix can’t bundle the two together. Europe, you’re still in the clear and will be able to pick up the bundle on PS3, but the North America (you too, Canada and Mexico) is screwed for some baffling reason. If you happened to pre-order the bundle — since it was up on retailers sites — Harmonix is attempting to work it out with those retailers so that those pre-orders can be honored, but if you haven’t then you’re SOL.
We’re attempting to get a bit more clarity on why PS3 owners have to pay ten bucks more and carry two boxes out of the store instead of one, and we’ll let you know if we find out anything more.
