Bethesda’s Oblivion was so open-ended that the main story became insubstantial. Fallout 3 is no different. There are many sidequests to tackle, several of which have the ability to make the player forget about the main storyline. But when the game concludes, it literally concludes. There are no more opportunities to grab bobble heads or snatch Nuka Colas from dilapidated supermarkets.

It’s a problem that Bethesda is going to fix with their first downloadable content for the PC and Xbox 360. Sounds great, right? Not for PlayStation 3 owners. The DLC isn’t hitting Sony’s platform and that means PS3 people are being left out in the cold.

MTV Multiplayer
recently spoke to the game’s executive producer Todd Howard about the DLC and if Bethesda would be willing to patch in the ability to play the game after main storyline completion. His answer was simple:

Not at this time, no.

There’s always the possibility, but it doesn’t sound like its going to be any time soon.
