PS Vita screens: See LiveArea, near, Party and Trophies

Recommended Videos

Want to see what the online components will look like on the PlayStation Vita’s shiny OLED screen? Want to see what a portable game system with day-one messaging and online capabilities looks like? These new screen grabs show a bit of everything.

You can see how you’ll find friends and ultimately match up with them for gaming in these screens of Vita’s near (see nearby gamers), LiveArea and Party (cross-game voice chat) applications. There’s also a few that show group messaging in action. It’s sad that this portable makes the PS3’s online functionality look wimpy.

There’s also a couple of screens that show what Trophy browsing will look on your Vita. Finally, you will also see what the PlayStation Store looks like.

All of this is looking very touchscreen friendly and slick, I’d say. What do you think?
