PS Vita goes all Dual Shock with these grips

Want to make your big-ass portable even bigger and less portable? Attach Datel Japan’s newest Vita accessory to the new portable and add some “Assist Grip.” For 1,380 yen you get a Dual Shock-ish grip on each side of the PS Vita.

It certainly looks a bit like Sony’s PS3 controller, but the grips look to sit way too low. It seems like your thumbs would have a hard time hitting the buttons on the top half of the system, though gamers with big hands would probably be fine. Another potential issue: I’d bet the rear touch is hindered by the mount a bit. The pictures in an accessory round-up on Watch Impress show that the touch pad is sort of boxed in by the grip.

This grip looks nice, but pocketability goes out the window.
