Project: Octopath Traveler looks like a dream for RPG fans

The ’90s never died!

The Switch exclusive RPG from Square Enix, Project: Octopath Traveler, looks like a real dream come true for old-school RPG fans. Containing an art style known as “HD-2D” (what?), the game is being developed by the same team behind the Bravely Default series and looks to pick up where that game left off. It also looks like a vast open-world, which gets me really excited.

If you’re curious about the game, why not give the demo a shot? It will be uploaded shortly after the direct ends, so you won’t have much excuse for not checking this out (other than being at work, I guess). Octopath will be getting a worldwide launch sometime next year.
